Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra 2016/17 Season Concert

Performing Mahler's Symphony No. 2, Resurrection.  Throughout his life Mahler was fascinated by eschatological questions: questions regarding the end of time and a life after death. All his convictions he worked into his Resurrection Symphony. Mahler uses the forces of a gigantic orchestra, soloists and full chorus to convey his deeply felt believe in the Christian message: Rise again will you, my heart!
